Question of the Week

Gospel Reading John 1:35—42

John the Baptist had his own group of disciples. But as they were together one day, Jesus walked by, and John announced to his disciples that Jesus was the Lamb of God—the one whose shed blood saves us from death. The Israelites understood this Lamb to be the Passover lamb, the one they killed and put its blood on the doorposts and lintel of the house, and then stayed inside when the Angel of Death came to kill the firstborn of Egypt. Only the blood of the Lamb on the door saved the ones inside from death. Jesus now invites John’s disciples to come and see his life and ministry.

Question: What do I see when I look at Jesus? How does Jesus as the Lamb of God affect me?
