Wow. What a moment
Today, we celebrate the Feast of Guardian Angels—a day to honor our celestial protectors. Guardian Angels are messengers from God, serving as a bridge between heaven and earth. Our Guardian Angels have guided us from birth and each day we have the opportunity to deepen our connection with them. The Guardian Angel Prayer is a powerful way to connect with your Guardian Angel and ask for their guidance and protection.
Angel of God, my guardian dear,
To whom God’s love commits me here,
Ever this day (or night) be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
We invite you to pray this powerful prayer each day to cultivate a greater bond with your Guardian Angel, seek their counsel, and trust in their presence. Our Guardian Angels can inspire, guide, and assist us, but they respect our free will and never impose their help.

Amen
For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.

Today, we celebrate St. Matthew, a tax collector who experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus. In the Gospel, Jesus saw Matthew at his tax collector’s booth and simply said, “Follow me.” Without hesitation, Matthew left everything behind and became one of the twelve apostles.
St. Matthew’s immediate response to Jesus’ invitation reveals the power of Christ’s call in our lives. We, too, are invited to leave behind our old ways and embrace the transformative love of Christ.
As we reflect on St. Matthew’s faith and dedication, let us consider how we can answer Christ’s call in our own lives.
What does following Jesus look like for you in your current chapter?
How has following Jesus changed your life?
Share your reflections in the comments below.
May St. Matthew’s example inspire us to listen for Christ’s voice and respond with unwavering faith.
