The Spirit is present like the sun to each individual who is capable of receiving it, and emits an influence which is sufficient to help them all, but is not divided.

Prayer is to be Shared
Much that has been said about prayer might create the false impression that prayer is a private, individualistic, and nearly secret affair, so personal and so deeply hidden in our inner life that it can hardly be talked about, even less be shared. The opposite is true. Just because prayer is so personal and arises from the center of our life, it is to be shared with others. Just because prayer is the most precious expression of being human, it needs the constant support and protection of the community to grow and flower. Just because prayer is our highest vocation, needing careful attention and faithful perseverance, we cannot allow it to be a private affair. Just because prayer asks for a patient waiting in expectation, it should never become the most individualistic expression of the most individualistic emotion, but should always remain embedded in the life of the community of which we are part.

Pentecost Prayer
O Holy Spirit, Paraclete and advocate,
we gather in your presence on this Pentecost day,
to honor your eternal flame
that fills us with courage, zeal and love.
As tongues of fire rested on the head of the disciples,
we ask that you grant us the clarity,
to speak the truth of Your word without fear
surmounting the barriers of language, culture or creed.
Breathe into your people that gift of understanding,
that we may hear our brothers and sisters;
the cries of the oppressed, migrants, victims of war and conflict,
And teach us to work tirelessly for justice and peace.
Inflame our hearts with the fire of passion,
To speak peace to a broken world;
To spread your gospel of peace and reconciliation,
To build communities of harmony.
O Holy Spirit, Paraclete and advocate,
Renew us with your Pentecost,
That we may fearlessly leave the rooms of our hiding,
And go out to the ends of the earth in your name. Amen!

Amen
Our annual Pentecost Mass of Inclusion was a Spirit- filled gathering where the fruits of the Spirit, LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS…
shone bright! We welcomed 3 new friends through the sacrament of baptism and celebrated our belonging, and everyone’s belonging in the Body of Christ!
As Fr. Mike proclaimed, in his spirited homily -
Todos, todos, todos! Everyone Belongs!

Let us renew our faith in the presence of the Holy Spirit, who is at our side, and continue to pray: Come, Creator Spirit, enlighten our minds, fill our hearts with your grace, guide our steps, grant your peace to our world. Amen.

Did you notice the dove hidden in the flower?
So too, the Spirit is always with us, hidden often in plain sight, prompting us to follow the Way of Jesus in the circumstances of our days. Let us cultivate an attentive eye, a listening ear, an open heart to the movements of the Spirit in ourselves and our world.

Beautiful. MSr Ling of Mary star of the sea now in heaven allowed the birth control pill 💊 for me when married for medical reasons. With women’s health at age 50 me waking with leaking pads, lower back pain, cramps I and other women are going to need sacred ❤️priests, the Catholic diocese, and the pope to allow women’s health birth control pills to be used for lessening very heavy bleeding like MSr ling did. I don’t want to ruin the beauty of the flower post that the Holy Spirit is always there like a hidden dove in the flower. The hidden cost and need for women’s healthcare is so real and not to be ignored with women like me wanting to stay pro life Catholic and needing a community of honesty where peole don’t break a pope rule and just not talk about it. The rules for women’s health and annulments need to be the same at all parishes globally and same rules for all occupations not military getting annulments and marriages within 3 weeks due to deployment and others being required to wait 9 months. Father mike said it was for military benefits in case the spouse was killed but teachers are getting shot. Walmart truck drivers and stay at home wives get in car accidents. All occupations to survive on Earth have a risk a hazard and we chose what occupation to do and the miltsry rejected many peole based on age , gender and disability so each occupation contributing to life deserves the same appreciation:
