Happy Feast Day -St. Frances Xavier Cabrini!
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini was a
missionary from Italy. She was born on July
15, 1850 into a big family—the youngest of
thirteen children. She spent most of her life
caring for young children in orphanages,
schools, and hospitals. She went to the pope
asking for permission to travel to China with
her other religious sisters, but he sent her to
the United States instead. In America she
founded orphanages, schools, hospitals, and
organized catechism classes in areas where
there were large populations of Italian
immigrants. She died at the age of 67 and in
her lifetime she founded 67 institutions to
serve the sick and poor. She became the first
United States citizen to become a saint.

Saints in the making!
Have you felt that your relationship with church—or with God—has become more transactional recently? Or do you feel burnt out and tired whenever you hear about another opportunity to serve?
Whatever your giving might look like, God is fully pleased with whatever you humbly offer in worship of Him. By giving, we gain. And by serving, we start to experience the community, contentment, and satisfaction God intended.
Keep learning about the gift of service we are blessed to be a part of with this free short devotional reading from the Discovery Series!
