The Sacred Heart Contemporary Choir is under the direction of Mr. Pat Robell and sings at the 5:00PM Youth Mass on Saturdays. The Sacred Heart Niners sing at the 9:00AM Sunday Mass. They rehearse in the Music Room (located behind the Church, enter through the car port) Thursdays at 6:00PM. The Sacred Heart Loft Choir sings at the 11:00AM Mass from September to June. This is a traditional choir, singing chant through the great choral music right up to current anthems. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:00 PM in the Music Room (located behind the Church, enter through the car port). New members are welcome! The parish choirs often join together for major feast days, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Holy Thursday, the Easter Vigil and Choral services.
Sacred Heart Pipe Organ
The pipe organ at Sacred Heart was built by the Fratelli Ruffatti Company (Ruffatti Brothers) of Padua, Italy, in 1978. The two-manual instrument has 36 ranks with 31 speaking stops. The console is prepared for an additional 16 ranks derived from 13 speaking stops, which make a total of 53 ranks. The horizontal display just below the loft is the splendid Trompette en Chamade, which celebrates major feast days and is often featured in wedding processions.
