Sacred Heart submitted paperwork to the City of Coronado to obtain a Special Use Permit on February 7th. The Special Use Permit is required because our Parish property is located in a Residential Zone. While we were here before the City zoning ordinances, now that we are modifying the buildings, we need to update our City documentation to follow the current regulations.
The City has been very supportive thus far so we do not anticipate any major obstacles with this step. City processing time is nominally 3-4 months.
While this is going on, we will be starting the detailed design process bringing a general contractor on board and refining our cost estimates.
