Question of the Week
Gospel Reading: John 20:1—9
Jesus rose from death, but not as a circus performance with fireworks and shooting of cannons. He rose quietly, and his disciples at first saw only that the tomb was empty: he was no longer dead. It was only later, when he made himself available to them and explained the scriptures that they began to understand that it was really true, and what it meant to them. This is still a world in which the things of God are hidden. We still need faith in order to see him. The cosmos whispers, “Jesus is alive,” and then we can shout it out, “JESUS IS ALIVE!”
Question: What in my life has come alive because of Jesus? What still remains to be brought to life?
