The rosary belongs to that type of prayer which precedes or accompanies the contemplative prayer of the spirit. The rosary is like the echo of a wave breaking on the shore, God’s shore: “Hail Mary. . Hail Mary. . Hail Mary. .” It is like your mother’s hand on your childhood cradle. ~Carlo Caretto

Love this! 💙
Heart Calling to Heart.
Friendship, marriage, family, religious life, and every other form of community is the grateful recognition of God’s call to share life together and the joyful offering of a hospitable space where the re-creating power of God’s Spirit can become manifest.
Thus all forms of life together can become ways to reveal to each other the real presence of God in our midst.
Community embraces all people, whatever their individual differences may be, and allows them to live together as brothers and sisters of Christ and sons and daughters of his heavenly Father.

A psalm of thanksgiving.
Shout joyfully to the LORD, all you lands;
serve the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful song.
*Know that the LORD is God,
he made us, we belong to him,
we are his people, the flock he shepherds.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name;
good indeed is the LORD,
His mercy endures forever,
his faithfulness lasts through every generation.
Psalm 100

Artesanos Don Bosco crafted our St. Francis Chapel sacred furnishings including the altar and lectern, presiders chair, crucifix and tabernacle. It was a privilege to support their good works and a joy to have such beautiful pieces in our beloved Chapel. ... See MoreSee Less
Have you been in our St. Francis Chapel? This is the wood carver from Artesanos Don Bosco in the mountains of Peru who hand-crafted our crucifix. All monies directly support the students at their artisan school for boys and girls, to provide livelihood and keep their cultural craftsmanship thriving. Graduates, like this young man, receive the tools they need to continue their art, and an option to remain and work creating religious and secular furnishings or pursue their own endeavors as creators. The world is wide and it was a privilege to both support them in their good works and enjoy the beauty of their fine craftsmanship in our chapel’s sacred furnishings. Not a single nail was used in any of the pieces. Take a closer look on your next visit. Link to a short film about them on our facebook page. ... See MoreSee Less
Can’t wait to visit again. Amazing God given talent.
I call you my friends, says the Lord,
for I have made known to you all that the Father has told me.

Young people demand change. They wonder how anyone can claim to be building a better future without thinking of the environmental crisis and the sufferings of the excluded. #LaudatoSi
